CHRISTIAN REFLECTIONS AND PRAYER
PRAYER TO DO WHATS RIGHT
(Here is a prayer I pray everyday)
O Almighty & Everlasting God, creator
of heaven, earth and the universe.
Help me to be, to think, to act what
is right, because it is right. Make me
truthful, honest and honorable in all
things, make me intellectually honest,
for the sake of right and honor and
without thought of reward to me.
Give me the ability to be charitable,
forgiving, and patient with my fellow
men. Help me to understand their
motives and their shortcomings, even
as thou understands mine!
In Jesus Name AMEN
77 DAYS OF PRAYER FOR OUR NEW PRESIDENT
Day Eight: November 12, 2008
69 days, 19 hours and 16 minutes
left until inauguration day.
For the President- and Vice President-Elect
to be wise and thoughtful as they exercise
their authority, firmly resisting the temptation
to abuse it
When the righteous thrive, the people rejoice;
when the wicked rule, the people groan.
—Proverbs 29:2
All-knowing God, before You all
things are laid bare and every
detail, whether large or small
is known. All praise and glory goes
to You, O mighty God, for Your
omniscience and omnipotence
before the greatest and least of
the rulers of our world.
Lord, we ask You today to help
the new President and Vice President
of our nation to be persons of impeccable
integrity. O God, make this team one
that does not use its authority for
frivolous means or mis-guided intent,
but instead recognizes and reveres
the responsibility that has been given
to them. May they see it as a divine
trust given by You. Cause them to be
wise and proper stewards of their
positions, and keep them from the
evil that could so easily ensnare
them in dishonesty. By the power
of Jesus we pray, amen.
77 DAYS OF PRAYER FOR OUR NEW PRESIDENT
For righteousness and godliness to characterize
the life and actions of the new President, Vice
President and every newly-elected leader
Who is wise? He will realize these things. Who
is discerning? He will understand them. The
ways of the LORD are right; the righteous
walk in them, but the rebellious stumble in them.
—Hosea 14:9
O mighty God, You are our perfect and
righteous God. There is no goodness or
righteousness apart from You and Your
ways. Today I praise and thank You for
Your perfection and Your holiness. Even
though they are unattainable, they put in
my heart a thirst for You and Your goodness.
Thank You, Lord that Your holiness compels
us to be holy.
I pray today for the new President, asking that
You will put in his heart a desire for You, for
Your goodness and holiness. I pray that You
will give him a thirst for wisdom, discernment
and understanding from You. Protect him from
leaning only on his own wisdom, and cause him
to look to You. Cause him and the Vice
President and all our elected leaders to desire
Your righteousness, so that their steps may be
sure. This I ask in Jesus’ name, amen.
77 DAYS OF PRAYER FOR OUR NEW PRESIDENT
Day Six: November 10, 2008
71 days, 19 hours
left until inauguration day.
For the President-Elect to be genuinely
humbled before God as he faces the
daunting task of leading our nation
for the next four years
The fear of the Lord teaches a man
wisdom, and humility comes before honor.
—Proverbs 15:33
Holy God, You give us the gift of
communication with You through prayer.
You promise to guide us as we humble
ourselves before You, and You declare
Your truth and insight to us as we listen
to You respond to our supplications.
Today, Heavenly Father, we ask that
You would empower our new President
to revere You, putting aside all pride and
self-centeredness as he acknowledges
who You are and what You wish to
accomplish through him. Show him
that for him to be honored, he must
humble himself before You and be
taught by Your voice and by Your Word.
As he does this, Lord, give him confidence
that, as he trusts in You, You will
equip him to meet the challenges of
his high calling as President of the
United States. In the name of
Jesus we pray, amen.
I AM SO PROUD
PRAY FOR OUR PRESIDENT ELECT
Give thanks for the blessings of democracy
experienced in America yesterday as the
nation's first African-American President was
elected. Pray for President Elect Obama
and Vice President Elect Biden as they
plan for their new administration.
Pray for our nation to be united under God
as we move into the coming months...
Give thanks for the outworking of God’s
sovereign will in our nation through the
votes of citizens as seen in yesterday's
election. Praise God for answered prayers
as there were no major incidents and results
were known with certainty. Pray for President
Elect Obama to seek God and His will in every
decision and plan that he makes, and pray for
his safety as he travels and makes plans.
Pray for President-Elect Obama that he will be
awed before God with the responsibility he has
to seek His face as he prepares to lead the
nation. Pray for a swell of support in prayer
for him as he makes plans. Pray also for
Senator John McCain, that he will have God’s
grace as he returns to his former responsibilities.
Prayer For Our President Elect Obama
Most High God, Blessed and Wonderful
Savior, Ever-present Holy Spirit,
Precious Lord, our Governor, Whose
glory is in all the world,
We commend this nation to your
compassionate and merciful care

may we dwell secure in your peace.
Grant to the President Elect Obama
of the United States, your wisdom
and strength to know and to do your will.
Fill the President Obama with the love
of truth and righteousness.
Make him ever mindful of his call to
serve this people in your fear.
In the name of the Wonderful Father,
Most Beloved And Precious Son,

upon whom we can rely.
Amen

AN OPEN LETTER TO "CHRISTIAN" POLITICIANS
You shall not murder (Exodus 20:13).
But I tell you, do not resist an evil person.
If someone strikes you on the right cheek,
turn to him the other also (Matthew 5:39).
Reflection:
I think the time has come. We claim to follow the
teachings of the Son of God, the Savior of the World.
Then let's start doing it. Jesus Christ constantly teaches
us to "love your enemies", "turn the other cheek", "do not
resist evil with evil". When are we going to get the hint?
When are we going to follow the teachings of Christ. Please
don't say that you are a Christian just to get votes! These
teaching's are not off the cuff remarks from Christ, they are
the very basis of what Christ was telling us. He does not
ever speak of war, of killing, He only speaks of peace and love.
When are we going to learn that the way to overcome evil, the
way to overcome our enemies, IS TO DO MORE GOOD.
We turn our enemies into friends, by the good we do. When
you do good things, you are no longer seen as a threat!
When there is evil power in control, the way to overcome that
power is to do more good for the less powerful. You see Christ
taught us the meek shall inherit the earth, not the powerful.
My Christian brother's and sister's, especially those running for
office, don't take my word for this, read your Bible. If you can read
the teachings of Jesus Christ, and find where Christ teaches us
that violence, war, aggression, police action, and killing are
acceptable responses to evil, please oh please let me know
where. Because if you can't, then please think about calling
yourself a Christian, and I mean know judgment here,
only an opinion. I certainly have enough logs in my own eyes to be
looking for the specks in others eyes. Finally I'm not trying to
convert anyone here, I'm only asking that the one's who claIm to
converted, ACT LIKE IT!!!!!
GOD BLESS AMERICA! GOD BLESS YOU!
Quote:
Muriel Lester
Social Activist, Gandhian Pacifist
(1883-1968)
"The job of the peacemaker is to stop war,
to purify the world, to get it saved from poverty and riches,
to heal the sick, to comfort the sad, to wake up those who
have not yet found God."
(IN OTHER WORDS TO DO GOOD!)
HUMILITY AND PRIDE
A STORY ABOUT HUMILITY AND PRIDE
FROM ROBERT SCHULLER SR. 10/12/08
Many years ago, a very humble looking
couple went to see the President of Harvard
(I don't remember his name, but I know the
story well). They had traveled a long way
to get there. The secretary asked them if
they had an appointment, and they said
they didn't but wanted to see the president
anyway.
The woman wore a plain gingham dress
and the man one of those ill-fitting suits that
farmers sometimes wear. They definitely
were not Ivy League. They didn't pass the
cultural test at all. And so the secretary said,
"I'm so sorry, he doesn't have time
today. He's in meetings all day." They said,
"Well, we'll just wait."
And they waited hour after hour. The secretary
hoped they would get tired and leave. But they
didn't, and as time wore on until the end of the
day, the president eventually came out of his
office. He was stuck with them.
The woman in the gingham dress approached
him and said, "Mr. President, we just want to
talk to you for a minute. We had a son and he
went to Harvard for one year and he just loved
this school, but he died and we want to leave
a memorial to him on your campus." And the
president said, "That's nice, but if we had a
memorial on this campus for every student
who attended school here and died, we probably
would look like a cemetery. We just don't do that."
Then she smoothed out her wrinkled dress
and said, "We don't want a statue, we just
wanted to build a building and have our son's
name on it."
And the president said to the couple who
appeared by their dress to be poor farmers,
"You must know, buildings are very expensive.
All the buildings in this Harvard campus
(and this was a long time ago) cost us seven
and a half million dollars."
The woman then turned to her husband
and said, "Honey, if that's all it costs,
let's build our own university." And they
turned to the president and said, "Goodbye sir."
They returned to California and soon built a
university to carry the name of their son -
Stanford University.
Wow!
WHEN WE NEED PATIENCE
Scripture:
1 Thessalonians 5:14-15 (New International Version)
14And we urge you, brothers, warn those who are idle,
encourage the timid, help the weak, be patient with everyone.
15Make sure that nobody pays back wrong for wrong,
but always try to be kind to each other and to everyone else.
Reflection:
You know it's really hard to deal with people who are
trying our patience. I have discovered that I can
relate and cope with people who make me sad,
who can make me angry, who even make me feel
a little less than good. But having people around me
who are trying my patience is difficult. Do you have
someone like that in your life, I know I do. When
someone is in the wrong, we have to struggle with
our desire to answer wrong with wrong. This is
actually the easiest thing for us to do. But we
have received mercy from God, and He wants us
to pass it on. That's right pass it on. Be patient
with everyone, make sure that nobody pays back
wrong for wrong, but always try to be kind to each
other and to everyone else. IN OTHER WORDS
PASS IT ON.
Prayer:
Heavenly Father, Help us remember that the jerk
who cut us off in traffic last night is a single mother
who worked nine hours that day and is rushing home
to cook dinner, help with homework, do the laundry
and spend a few precious moments with her children.
Give me patience Oh Lord
Help us to remember that the pierced, tattooed,
disinterested young man who can’t make change
correctly is a worried 19-year-old college student,
balancing his apprehension over final exams with
his fear of not getting his student loans for next semester.
Give me patience Oh Lord
Remind us, Lord, that the scary looking bum, begging
for money in the same spot every day
(who really ought to get a job!) is a slave to addictions
that we can only imagine in our worst nightmares.
Give me patience Oh Lord
Help us to remember that the old couple walking
annoyingly slow through the store aisles and blocking
our shopping progress are savoring this moment,
knowing that, based on the biopsy report she got
back last week, this will be the last year that they
go shopping together.
Give me patience Oh Lord
Heavenly Father, remind us each day that, of all the
gifts you give us, the greatest gift is love. It is not
enough to share that love with those we hold dear.
Open our hearts not to just those who are close to us,
but to all humanity. Let us be slow to judge and quick
to forgive, show patience, empathy and love
GIVE ME LOVE OH LORD! In Jesus Name Amen.
TO BE LIKE NOAH
Scripture:
Genesis 6:11-22 (New International Version)
New International Version (NIV)
Copyright © 1973, 1978, 1984 by International Bible Society
[NIV at IBS] [International Bible Society] [NIV at Zondervan] [Zondervan]
11 Now the earth was corrupt in God's sight and
was full of violence. 12 God saw how corrupt the
earth had become, for all the people on earth had
corrupted their ways. 13 So God said to Noah,
"I am going to put an end to all people, for the
earth is filled with violence because of them.
I am surely going to destroy both them and
the earth. 14 So make yourself an ark of
cypress [a] wood; make rooms in it and coat
it with pitch inside and out. 15 This is how you
are to build it: The ark is to be 450 feet long,
75 feet wide and 45 feet high. [b] 16 Make a
roof for it and finish [c] the ark to within 18 inches
[d] of the top. Put a door in the side of the ark
and make lower, middle and upper decks.
17 I am going to bring flood waters on the
earth to destroy all life under the heavens,
every creature that has the breath of life in it.
Everything on earth will perish. 18 But I will
establish my covenant with you, and you will
enter the ark—you and your sons and your wife
and your sons' wives with you. 19 You are to
bring into the ark two of all living creatures,
male and female, to keep them alive with you.
20 Two of every kind of bird, of every kind of
animal and of every kind of creature that moves
along the ground will come to you to be kept alive.
21 You are to take every kind of food that is to be
eaten and store it away as food for you and for them."
22 Noah did everything just as God commanded him.
Reflection:
I got to admit it, after reading Genesis 6:11-22, I wish
I was Noah. This beautiful man did everything God
commanded. You know, I wish I did that. Wouldn't
it be great to hit a bulls eye every time you had to make a
decision. Wouldn't be great to get our God's
approval on every decision. I mean look at Noah.
He worked, and worked, on that ark, while all the time
being scoffed and laughed at by his neighbors. And
through it all, Noah's sole concern was God. Why
can't I be more like that? My life is pulled in so many
different directions that I don't have enough time for
my God. What does that say about me? I have to
slow down, give my time to God and try to do
everything God commands. It's hard but I can do
it. Can You?
Prayer:
I love you God, and I need to slow down. I need
your help in making my priorities and decisions.
I need to make you my priority. Oh God give me
strength to do what you command. In Christ's
Holy Name Amen.
WHO DO YOU WANT TO PLEASE
Scripture:
"Do you think I am trying to make people
accept me? No, God is the one I am
trying to please. Am I trying to please
people? If I still wanted to please people,
I would not be a servant of Christ.
(Galatians 1:10) NCV
Reflection:
Everybody wants to be loved, everybody wants
to be accepted, everybody cares what other
people think of them. I have a hard time
accepting statements like "I don't care what
anybody thinks", or "I don't try to please
anybody". As I have experienced life, i've
discovered these statements are just not true.
I have never met anybody, in my 60 years on
this earth, that absolutely did not want to be
accepted, or did not have someone they wanted
to please in their life. I think the question
that begs to be answered is "who". Who are you
trying to please? Who do you want to accept you?
As for me it is God. I already know that my God
accepts me, His Son's death and resurrection proves
that. Therefore if I believe God accepts me, then I
certainly want to please Him. I want to please Him
in every way. I do this through my faith in God and
His Son, through my study of His Word, through
living my life as His child, and loving my neighbors
and loving my enemies as He love's me. Boy to
tell the truth my life is so much happier, and much
better, when I try to please God. How about you?
Be honest with yourself. Who are you trying to
please?
Prayer:
Oh mighty God, Thank You for Your grace and love.
Thank You that You have accepted me. I want to
please You God and only You. You are the meaning
of my life, You are my savior, and the giver of eternal
life. THANK YOU GOD FOR BEING GOD
In Jesus Name Amen
PRAYER FOR THE UNEMPLOYED
Dear Lord Jesus Christ, You wanted all who
are weary to come to You for support. Lord,
I am worn out by my inability to find
wage-earning work. Day after day, my worry
and fear grows as the rejections of my
applications mount. I am able and willing
to work---but I cannot find a worthwhile job.
Please help me to obtain one soon so that
I can support myself and my family
in a decent way.
However, if it is your will that I wait longer,
enable me to worry less and to be able
to take advantage of the time available
to get closer to You. Let me realize that
there are other ways to bring about your
kingdom on earth besides salaried work.
Help me to make use of them for the time
being so that I may continue to grow
as a person for your greater glory. Amen.
(From New Saint Joseph People's Prayer
Book, Catholic Book Publishing.)
A STORY OF CHRISTIANITY DEFINED
Scripture:
(Read Ruth 2:14-20)
"Blessed be he of the Lord, who has not
forsaken His kindness to the living and the
dead!" Ruth 2:20
Reflection:
,
This reflection is not a story found in the
Holy Scriptures, or even a "Christian"
story. But yet is really defines the meaning
of Christianity.
The Story:
"At one end of the truck terminal where H. H. Lee
worked years ago was a coal company.
Nearby was a railroad, and each day several
freight trains passed by. Lee often noticed that
the owner of the company, who was a Christian,
threw chunks of coal over the fence at various places
along the track. One day Lee asked the man why
he did this.
The man replied, An elderly woman lives across the
street, and I know that her pension is inadequate to
buy enough coal. After the trains go by, she walks
along and picks up the pieces she thinks have fallen
from the coal car behind the engine. She doesn't
realize that diesels have replaced steam locomotives.
I don't want to disappoint her so I just throw some
pieces over the fence."
Now that's Christianity Defined: GIVING TOTAL
UNCONDITIONAL GIVING, its Christianity in action.
In the book of Ruth we saw Ruth giving to her mother
in law, and Boaz giving to Ruth. In the Gospels, Jesus
Christ gave everything, even His life, all unconditionally.
In the same way, the people whose lives we touch need to
experience God's love through our compassion and
generosity. Remember, CHRISTIANITY MEANS GIVING!
Prayer:
Thank You oh Jesus for giving me Your life.
Quote:
Albert Schweitzer
Physician, Missionary, Author, Activist, Ethical Vegetarian
(1875-1965)
"The power of ideals is incalculable. We see no power in a
drop of water. But let it get into a crack in the rock and
be turned into ice ... it splits the rock."
GOOD FRUIT OR BAD FRUIT
Scripture:
"And how from infancy your have know the Holy
Scriptures, which are able to make you wise
for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus."
(2 Timothy 3:15)
Walk With C. S. Lewis
"The terrible thing, the almost impossible thing, is
to hand over your whole self--all your wishes and
precautions-- in Christ.
"But it is far easier than what ware all trying to do
instead. For what we are trying to do is to remain
what we call 'ourselves.' to keep personal happiness
as our great aim in life, and yet at the same time be
'good'. We are all trying to let our mind and our heart
go there own way----centered on money or pleasure or
ambition--- and hoping, in spite of this, to behave honestly
and humbly."And that is exactly what Christ warned that
we could not do. As He said, a thistle cannot produce figs.
If I am a field that contains nothing but grass seed, I
cannot produce wheat. Cutting the grass may keep it
short, but I shall still produce grass and no wheat. If I
want produce wheat, the change must go deeper that
the surface. I must be plowed up and resown.
Walk Closer to God
"Every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears
bad fruit. A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, and a bad tree
cannot produce good fruit." (Matthew 7: 17,18). All good
works in the world cannot make a Christian, any more than
wishful thinking and hard work can make carrots in cabbages.
But once Christ is planted in the heart, you need never wonder
again what harvest will spring up.
(Walk Through The Bible)
I guess the question here is: Are you a good tree bearing good
fruit? or A bad tree bearing bad fruit?
DO YOU HAVE THE JOY OF GODS PRESENCE
On that day the announcement to Jerusalem will be,
"Cheer up, Zion! Don't be afraid! For the Lord your God
has arrived to live among you. He is a mighty savior.
He will rejoice over you with great gladness. With his love,
he will calm all our fears. He will exult over you by singing
a happy song."
Zephaniah 3:16-17 NLT
I know the Lord is always with me, I will not be shaken,
for he is right beside me. No wonder my heart is filled
with joy, and my mouth shouts his praises!
Psalm 16:8-9 NLT
Reflection:
Can you really say this: I know the Lord is always
with me, I will not be shaken, for he is right beside
me. No wonder my heart is filled with joy, and my
mouth shouts his praises!
I don't know where you are in your life. But lately I've
been feeling lonely and a little depressed. When I
feel this way, I think about how my life has been.
I begin to think of all the negative things in my life.
Boy, have I been a sinner and still am. I have not
been the kind of Christian, that I wanted to be. I
have not attained many of the goals I set out to
achieve. I have had many relationships fail in my
life. And I realize that it is only my faith that keeps
me going. I was feeling like this the other day,
and I happened to see this verse. I was reminded
that my God is always with me, no matter where
I am at in my life. I must not be shaken because
my God is right there beside me. Then my heart
is honestly and most truthfully filled with joy, and
I begin praising my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
My God is your God and He is always there for
you!
Prayer:
Lord I lift your name on high
And I come to sing your praises
You came from heaven to earth, to show the way
From the earth to the cross, my debt to pay
From the cross to the grave,
From the grave to the sky,
Lord I lift your name on high.
Quote
Anne Frank
Diarist, Holocaust Victim (1929-1945)
"I still believe that people are really good at heart.
I simply can't build up my hopes on a foundation
consisting of confusion, misery and death....If I l
look up to the heavens, I think it will all come right,
that this cruelty too will end, and that peace and
tranquility will return again."
WHEN YOU ARE DEPRESSED
Prayer When Your Are Depressed
By: Dr. Walter L. Weston
God, life seems so bleak and useless right now.
I don't have any energy. I have no ambition to do
much of anything. I am really feeling down.
I feel "down on" myself and "down on" everyone
around me. Even as I pray, I don't sense your
presence. I am going through the motions,
knowing that you are still with me.
I know that I am sacred and precious but they
are just words right now. I know that my life has
been worthwhile, full of many wonderful people
and experiences, much happiness and joy.
I feel little of this right now. God, all I can do is
affirm the goodness of life and try to hold on until
the darkness is replaced by your light and love.
Help me to spot the lies that my depressed emotions
are telling me. Life is good. I am good. You are good.
Grant me hope. My loved ones love me. Life will be
beautiful again. Soon, I will see the beauty around
me again. Soon, I will again know vitality and
purpose, happiness and love. Until then, give me
the strength and hope to survive this day.
Help me to smile and laugh, even if just for a
moment. Be my strength and salvation. I ask
you to restore me and make me whole. Fill
me with the Word and the Spirit that I might
be recreated anew. I praise and thank you. Amen.
Who Is Your Hero
I read this from www.heartlight.org, I thought you would
enjoy reading it.
VERSE:
Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our
faith, who for the joy set before him endured the cross, scorning
its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.
-- Hebrews 12:2
http://www.SearchGodsWord.org/desk/?query=Hebrews+12:2
THOUGHT:
Who is your hero? I'm not asking for the Sunday school class
answer, but the person you most actively admire! It is hard to "fix
our eyes on Jesus" because he is not here where we can see him like
other heroes. But he was the ultimate adventurer and trailblazer.
He faced the horrific penalty and shame of the cross, taking away
our sin! He did it so that we could have a hero that death and sin
could not destroy, mar, or taint. He did it so that we could be
confident that if we follow in his footsteps, the trail he blazed
wasn't just for him, but for us, too!
PRAYER:
Holy God, forgive me when I chase what is false and let my focus
shift from Jesus as my ultimate hero. I want to honor and serve
him, having his life come alive in me, so that others may know the
confidence that comes in having Jesus as their Lord. Words cannot
express my gratitude to my Lord for his sacrifice and the horrible
price he paid for my sins. Neither can words express my jubilation
at his trailblazing victory that assures that I will someday be
with you forever! It is in his name, Jesus Christ, that I pray.
Amen.

IS GOD YOUR FRIEND
Scripture:
"No longer do I call you servants, for a servant
does not know what his master is doing: but I
have called you friends." (John 15:15)
Reflection:
Have you ever seen this quote by Claude Mermet
"Friends are like melons; let me tell you why: To find
a good one, you must one hundred try!"
Its really hard to find a good friend isn't it?
I mean lets face it, it's and important position. To
be called a friend is very important, very important indeed.
And you just don't want anyone you can call friend.
I wonder if God identifies with that, I wonder if it's hard
for God to find good friends. I wonder if God ever feels
that way about us? When you think about it, isn't one
of the things that you strive for in your relationship with
your child, not only to be a good mother or father but also
a friend. If we feel like that with our children, How do
you think God feels about us as His children. Your God
your creator, your savior, your king, and He
is there wanting to be your friend. You know a good friend
is there for you, a good friend loves and cares for you, a
good friend will do anything for you. Wait a minute, doesn't
that describe God? GOD....IS....YOUR....FRIEND!!!!!
He is always there, why don't you give your friend a call.
Prayer:
Oh Lord my friend, thank you for being there for me.
You are my God and King, and You are my friend,
and I am Your friend and servant. Thank You God
that I am secure in the fact that I can always come
before you as a friend. THANK YOU GOD FOR BEING GOD!
In Jesus Name AMEN
When We Feel Lonely
Scripture:
2 Corinthians 1:3-4 (New International Version)
New International Version (NIV)
The God of All Comfort
3Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,
the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, 4who
comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those
in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves have received
from God.
Reflection:
There is no worst feeling than that of loneliness.
It is so very true, "That you can be in a crowded
room and still feel lonely". Loneliness can make a
person feel so very empty. But you don't need to
feel lonely or empty. Isn't it wonderful to know that
God is with us? You are never alone because God is
always, I repeat always with you. That is why my
faith is so strong, because my God is always with me.
What a wonderful feeling knowing God loves me and
is with me. And because of this realization, when I see
other people lonely, I need to make sure I make them
feel loved. You see this simple act can be a God sent
experience to a lonely person. So the next time you
feel lonely, get happy with God, and pass it on.
Prayer:
Lord I praise You and look upon you with wonder.
God make me an instrument of your companionship
and love to all those who are lonely.
In Jesus Name AMEN.
A LABOR DAY PRAYER
Please remember as you celebrate
a day off from work, there are many
in this country who do not have work.
Let us pray:
My Lord and Savior Jesus Christ,
hold close to your heart those who are
searching for work. Encourage their
spirits to persevere. Soothe tense
relationships that threaten to tear their
families apart.
Turn our hearts toward them in
compassion, generous support, and
efforts to open doors of opportunity,
through Jesus Christ, our Lord. Amen.
